Jeiteles (Jeitteles), Baruch

(1762-1813)
   Bohemian Hebrew writer and physician, brother of Judah Jeiteles. He maintained a yeshivah in Prague, but later became a supporter of the Haskalah movement. He wrote halakhic novellae as well as Hebrew poems and translations. In 1813 he persuaded leading individuals in the Prague community to open a hospital for wounded soldiers of all nationalities in the Jewish quarter.
